Calathea ornata Sanderiana
The leaves are either basal or stem-based. The leaves are long and oval-shaped, measuring 25-30cm in length and 8-15cm in width. They are smooth and have a waxy luster. The leaves are dark green, with 5 to 6 distinct lines extending along the sides of the midrib on each side of the veins, forming a feather-like arrangement, with a striking color contrast. While the older leaves almost turn milky white. The underside of the leaves is reddish-brown or purple.
